NKANA coach Zeddy Saileti has called on supporters not to panic as his technical bench will turn the results around.
The 12-time league champions have started the league poorly, drawing the first game against Nakambala Leopards and a loss in the second game against Nchanga Rangers which has surprisingly sent panic waves among their faithful supporters early in the season amid undertones of changing coaches.
But Saileti, in an interview, said his bench comprising Gift Kampamba, Billy Mwanza and technical director Aggrey Chiyangi was equally not happy with the outcome of the first two games but appealed to stakeholders not press the panic button as the results would start coming by.
“Well as the technical bench, we understand that our fans want results and the first two games were worrying. But it’s early in the season, it is just two games. And working as a technical bench, we are working to turn things around and it is also good that the next game is away from home so there will not be too much pressure on the boys,” said Saileti.
“It’s two games without anything, yes that’s not good. And we know our fans demand a result…that’s football but there is no need to panic, it’s not a crisis. We will pull through; we just ask the supporters to rally behind us, it’s not too late, things will change.”
Nkana’s next match is against NAPSA Stars in Lusaka this Saturday that will be followed by a daunting game against Zesco United at home.
