PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says Zambians must forget about the one Zambia, one nation motto because the country is divided.
Speaking in Chinsali during a church service in honour of freedom fighter Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe’ s wife Salome this afternoon, President Lungu said the country was no longer one and that the one Zambia, one nation motto was only on the lips of others.
He, however, said mama Salome helped bring the nation together as some of her children got married to Tongas and Lozis.
And President Lungu said there were too many young people pretending to be a freedom fighters when they were imposters.
He said many young people were not freedom fighters but claiming to be such.
President Lungu warned that those doing so must stop posturing because they would be inviting trouble unto themselves.
And President Lungu said those who thought they had freedom and could do anything must get ready because freedom was expensive.
President Lungu, who was flanked by Dr Kenneth Kaunda and fourth Republican president Rupiah Banda, said he would only recognize true freedom fighters and not imposters.
