‘Mighty’ seeks to build on first win in clash with Power

MUFULIRA Wanderers will be hoping to build on their first win of the season at Nkwazi last week when they come up against old nemesis Power Dynamos in a rearranged MTN/FAZ Super League week eight at Shinde stadium in Mufulira.

After the worst start to the season which has the dismissal of Egyptian coach Mohammed Sulliman as well as the former club chairman Kenward Chansa, Wanderers only managed the first win of the season which many did not expect against a stubborn Nkwazi on Wednesday.

However, today they come face-to-face with Power, an in-form team coming from the 5-0 demolition of not-so-sharp Konkola Blades in midweek.

In Nakonde, resurgent Nkana will be looking for another win when they date Real Nakonde in the border town, with the latter reeling from a 3-1 defeat at Nchanga Rangers in midweek.

In another border town fixture, Blades hope to recover when they host big-spending Lusaka Dynamos at Konkola stadium in Chililabombwe.

At independence stadium in Lusaka, Green Buffaloes’ fine form faces bruised City of Lusaka who lost 5-2 in midweek against NAPSA Stars while Nakambala Leopards host winless Kabwe Warriors.

The last game of the day sees Forest Rangers hosting NAPSA Stars at Trade Fair grounds in what is promising to be a thrilling encounter.
