Loss to Libolo puts Zesco under pressure

ZESCO United coach Zlatko Krmpotic says his team’s 3-0 loss to Recreative De Libolo has put a lot of pressure on everyone at the club.

Zesco suffered a major setback in the quest for early qualification to the quarter finals of the CAF Confederation cup after they went down to the Angolan club on Tuesday.

Speaking after the match, Krmpotic said the team now had to make good of the remaining games.

“Now after this, it’s big pressure for everybody. Yes this is big pressure for me, players, for everyone and club. We have two games – one (at) home, one away and we will try to win and to go up. No another way,” said Krmpotic.

Congratulations to our opponents and congratulations also to my players. Hard game but I think this is not the real big result. We had some period to play good but after two, three big mistakes, our opponents scored three goals. One in the first half and two in the second half and we also had some opportunities to score but this is football. Ok 3-0, we must learn some from this game and move with heads up.

Zesco has another away game at Smouha in Egypt which is a must win before finishing Al Hilal Obied of Sudan in Ndola.
