Oil tanker overturns on Great North Road, spillage poses risk to motorists
A CRUDE oil tanker has overturned on Great North Road, leaving spillage on a 10-kilometre stretch after Kabwe which is posing a danger to other motorists.
Witnesses have urged caution on the road to avoid further accidents following the oil spillage from the tanker which has since been moved from the road.
“Who ever drives into Copperbelt the next hours, be extremely cautious on the road. A crude oil tanker has overturned from Kabwe towards Kaipiri Mposhi. While the vehicle has been rescued and pulled up north bound, they didn’t seal the leaking tank. So the road 10km north of Kabwe heading to CB is extremely slippery! Whoever recovered the vehicle should receive a serious punishment, this is risking peoples lives,” an unnamed concerned citizen has alerted The Mast.
