THE Royal Livingstone Hotel has reduced the price of Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac to $750 per shot from US$1,000.
The Cognac bottle which was opened in 2002 at the time the resort was commissioned by President Frederick Chiluba is just above its half capacity level 15 years on.
A visit to the resorts lounge bar has revealed that movie actor and former California governor Anold schwarzenegger had taken a tot from the bottle.
A resort source who is not permitted to divulge information to the media said Louis XIII Grande Champagne Cognac is Zambia’s most expensive alcoholic drink.
The Cognac is now at US $750 from US$1000 before 2012. We have have had a lot of stars like Sean Conary and Arnold Schwarzenegger who have visited us before and took some tots. I am not sure of the others. Locally, we have the former OP boss Mr Xavier Chungu taking a tot,
the worker revealed.
He added that a bottle of Louis XIII de Remy Martin Black Pearl Grande Champagne Cognac is currently estimated at over US$2,000 in Europe.
