I’M GONNA remember Zambia for the rest of my life, says US Gospel artiste Pastor Donnie McClurkin.
Speaking during the Unstoppable Praise concert held at Woodlands Stadium last Sunday, Pastor McClurkin said he had been moved by his experience in the country and pledged to return to conduct workshops with Zambian Gospel artistes.
This is a unique country. This is no small country on Africa. God is going to show you that you’re greater than you know. I would love to come back and hold workshops for musicians and impart but also to receive from them,
Pastor McClurkin said.
Fondly known as Pastor Donne, McClurkin is a multi-award winning Gospel artiste and the senior pastor of Perfecting Church in New York, USA.
The Unstoppable Praise was organised by the Mount Zion Christian Centre and featured performances by various local artistes, including Ephraim, Pompi, Elizabeth, Esther Chungu, James Sakala, Trinah Chisanga, Proclaim, Stika, Solomon, Rock of Escape and Magg 44.
Religious affairs minister Godfridah Sumaili, who attended the concert, said Zambia was operating under an “open heaven”.
Mount Zion overseer Pastor Bruce Msidi said the concept had been inspired by God and that believers must cultivate a culture of praising God at all times and in all circumstances.
Thousands of people thronged Woodlands Stadium to experience a colourful, inspiring and uplifting worship event.
