UNDER 20 midfielder Enock Mwepu says he is ready for the challenge of playing for the senior team. And Patson Daka says he is very prepared to contribute to the senior national team and get maximum points from the two games against Algeria.
Mwepu and Daka have been included in the squad that will play Algeria in the World Cup qualifier. Mwepu said the call up to the national team was a big challenge and was ready for it.
“I’m very happy and excited about the call-up, it has come at the time that the Almighty God has decided for me. I feel ready for this big challenge and believe that for the coach to call me, he knows I will suit into his game plan,”
“I will do my best to help the team win the back to back encounters against Algeria and restore our hopes of qualifying to next year’s world cup. I also look forward to working and learning from the senior and experienced players.” And Daka said he was prepared to aid the national team to gain maximum points from the Algeria clash.
“I am very happy that the coach has recognized my efforts by giving me this call up. I feel very prepared to contribute to the team and get maximum points from the two games against Algeria,”
“It’s also a great motivation to see a number of my U-20 friends have been called to the team and I’m sure we will put in the same effort as we did at junior level.”
Zambia will face Algeria in the World Cup qualifier over two legs home and away, with the first leg to be played in Lusaka at the Heroes Stadium on September 2.
