THE Zambia Airports Corporation Limited has sponsored a female aircraft maintenance engineer to the World Skills International competition.
According to a press statement issued by Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL) public relations officer Monde Wood Yamalezi in Lusaka today, Zambia would for the first time compete in the 44th World skills International competition being held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from October 14-19.
She stated that Euphrasia Wasa Mulenga, an aircraft maintenance engineer for corporate air maintenance and the only female, would represent the country in the aviation category.
“The World skills international competition is the largest vocational education and skills excellence event held every two years to showcase the importance of professional education and provides a forum for the leaders in the industry to share information and best practices,” stated Wood-Yamalezi.
“It is with this background that Zambia Airports Corporation Limited, as part of its corporate social responsibility, felt the need to contribute to this noble cause and promote the aviation industry as well as the youth in the nation.”
