ZANACO will be looking to bounce back to the top of the MTN/FAZ Super League when they host relegation-fighting Kabwe Warriors at Sunset Stadium this afternoon.
Zesco United took leadership of the table from Zanaco after beating Warriors in a rescheduled match on Wednesday.
Coach Mumamba Numba who is chasing a season’s double after claiming the first Barclays Cup for the bankers last weekend will be hoping the cup win will be a huge inspiration for his players to beat Warriors and return to the top by just a point, at least for 24 hours before Zesco play their game against Nkwazi tomorrow.
“Of course the race for the title is still on. We just have to keep on trying to win the games that we have to play because I believe we have to compete against ourselves because if we start looking at other teams then we might end up losing focus. All we need is to take each game as it comes so that we see how we end at the end of the season,” said Numba.
In Ndola, Nkana face Buildcon looking to consolidate fourth position in pursuit of continental football next year.
