THE Road Transport and Safety Agency says it is sad that the life of young prolific player Changwe Kalale was cut short as a result of an accident.
RTSA head of public relations Fredrick Mubanga has expressed sadness at the death of the former under 17 national team player who was involved in a road accident in 2014.
“The Agency wishes to send a message of condolences to the deceased’s family and joins the rest of the nation and the football fraternity in mourning the young lad,” he said.
“It is sad that the life of the young prolific player was cut short as a result of the accident.”
Mubanga reminded the nation of the devastating effects of road crashes and called on all Zambians to join hands in the fight against road accidents.
“Therefore, we wish to urge all Zambia to respect all traffic rules and regulations,” he said.
Kalale, who died on Sunday, was among the victims of an accident involving a Zesco United FC bus which claimed the life of the driver and two others on the Great North Road in 2014.
The accident also ended the career of former national team player Nyambe Mulenga who was left injured.
