CHIPOLOPOLO head coach Wedson Nyirenda has named a 23-man squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) scheduled for Morocco between January 12 and February 4.

Among the goal keepers, Nyirenda has employed the services of experienced goal manager Toaster Nsabata to be aided by Moses Mapulanga and Allan Chibwe,

On defenders, he has picked Simon Silwimba, Fackson Kapumbu, Laurence Chungu, John Mwengani, Isaac Shamujompa, Adrian Chama and experienced Zanaco skipper Ziyo Tembo,

The team includes midfielders Donashano Malama, Kondwani Mtonga, Jack Chirwa, Larry Bwalya, Chanda Mushili, Godfrey Ngwenya, Ernest Mbewe, Augustine Mulenga and Mike Katiba,

In the frontline, Nyirenda has selected Friday Samu, Alex Ng’onga, Martin Phiri and Lazarous Kambole.

Chipolopolo’s last appearance at CHAN was in 2016 in Rwanda where they were booted out in the quarter finals under the tutorage of George Lwandamina
