THE Chipolopolo Boys are off to Morocco for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN). Coach Wedson Nyirenda and his 23 players e a stopover in South Africa where they played a friendly match against Orlando Pirates  yesterday. The team left via Dubai and arrive in Casablanca this morning.

The Chipolopolo  warmed up for the final tournament with a 3-1 win over PSL giants Orlando Pirates in South Africa yesterday. Chipolopolo opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Lazarous Kambole before Mpho Makola levelled matters in the 22nd minute.

Fackson Kapumbu made it 2-1 in the 47th minute before Zambia capped the dominant display with an Alex Ng’onga winner late in the 85th minute. Zambia has not played a serious international friendly match since preparations for the tournament commenced last month and this was the first significant warm-up match. Chipolopolo play its first game against Uganda on Sunday in Marakech.

Zambia is in Group B alongside Uganda, Ivory Coast and Namibia.
