CHIPOLOPOLO have now shifted their attention on their opening match of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) on rivals Uganda to be played tomorrow (Sunday). And Multi Choice will, through Supersport SS9, SS4 and SSselect, beam the game live.
Football Association of Zambia communication manager Desmond Katongo stated that the team had set up base in Morroco.
“The Zambia National team has set up camp at the Adam Park Hotel in Marrakech Morocco. The Chipolopolo boys will now focus on preparing for their opening match against Uganda on Sunday,” Katongo said.
“Pay television channel SuperSport will beam live the tournament with Zambia’s opening match at 21:15 hours (Zambian time).”
FAZ vice president Rix Mweemba is leading the entourage at the tournament.
Zambia is in Group B alongside Ivory Coast, Namibia and Uganda.
Zambia’s team includes goal keepers Moses Mapulanga from Nkana, Toaster Nsabata from Zanaco and Allan Chibwe of Power Dynamos. Among the defenders are experienced defender Simon Silwimba and Fackson Kapumbu, both of Zesco United, Lawrence Chungu and Isaac Shamujompa of Power Dynamos, John Mwangeni of Nkana, Zanaco skipper Ziyo Tembo and Adrian Chama of Green Buffaloes.
Donashano Malama of Nkana, Kondwani Mtonga of Zesco United, Jack Chirwa and Mike Katiba both from Green Buffaloes, Larry Bwalya and Godfrey Ngwenya both of Power Dynamos, Augustine Mulenga and Ernest Mbewe both from Zanaco are among the midfielders for the team.
The services of Friday Samu of Green Buffaloes, Alex Ng’onga of Power Dynamos, Martin Phiri of Zanaco, Lazarous Kambole of Zesco United, and Chanda Mushili of Lumwana Radiants have been engaged in the frontline.
