FEMALE pugilist Barbara Banda says she has always wanted to be world champion and the move by the army to allow her to go professional is exciting to her.
Speaking in an interview with The Mast in Lusaka, Barbara said she was going to put in her best to give her fans the best of her ability.
“I will make sure I don’t let my fans down and I will fight to the best of my ability for the nation and my fans at large. I Am very happy because it will be a great achievement in my career being a professional boxer while saving in the army,” Barbara said.
“I have always wanted to be a world champion, and my dream is to bring back home the WBC gold belt.”
The Zambia Army recently announced that they were going to allow their sportsmen to take part in professional boxing without sanctions.
