Arrows head to Spain for camp

RED Arrows Football Club have left for Spain for a two-week training camp ahead of the 2018 FAZ/MTN Super League season.

The 2004 Zambian champions have been commanded by Zambia Air Force commander Lieutenant General Eric Chimese to win the 2018 Super League title.

General Chimese addressed the players 48 hours before they left and urged them to replicate the healthy support rendered to them by the command by winning the league.

Coach Honour Janza used the occasion to announce Bruce Musakanya as the team’s new captain.

The team left for Valencia yesterday and will, among other activities, play friendly matches against FC Langhental of Switzerland and FC UFA of Russia.

Red Arrows will also have an opportunity to watch a live La Liga match at the EStadio De Mastalla involving Valencia and Real Sociedad.

The airmen finished the 2017 season in 10th position, managing 12 wins, 16 draws and 10 losses.
