PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has today, Tuesday, met South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in Pretoria during working lunch.
President Lungu, who is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Joe Malanji, presidential affairs minister Freedom Sikazwe and Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba, congratulated Ramaphosa for his election as ANC president during the 54th ANC Conference last December and also his subsequent election by Parliament as President of the Republic of South Africa.
President Lungu also said the two countries enjoyed trade and investment relations.
And President Ramaphosa, on his part, also talked about the historical, cultural and economic relations that the two countries enjoyed.
President Ramaphosa is currently chairperson of SADC while President Lungu is vice chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics and Defence.
