Police, ACC officers raid, search Kambwili’s residence

OVER twenty armed police officers in Lusaka have raided the Woodlands residence of National Democratic Congress NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili.

The officers raided Kambwili’s home at 06.30 hours.

NDC national youth chairman Charles Kabwita has confirmed the raid.

Kabwita says Kambwili’s guards refused to allow state police access to his house.

It is not clear up to now what the police are looking for.

Later after his lawyers had arrived, the police were allowed and Kambwili told off the ACC officers for raiding him when he had indicated to them yesterday that if they wanted him they should call him.

The officers then asked to search his house, which they are currently doing.

Before the search, NDC security searched the officers.
