Zambian swimmers mint 82 medals

ZAMBIAN swimmers at the CANA IV Championship in Lilongwe, Malawi ended the tournament on an impressive note amassing 82 medals.

The tournament which ended yesterday saw Zambia mint 26 gold medals, 27 silver and 24 bronze.

Team Zambia had 2,309.5 points (907.5 points ahead of ZIM 1402) and RSA (1398).

200 IM. Some fabulous PBs. 2 gold and 2 silver medals. The last races of the day and the tournament: Relays 4 X 50 freestyle, Silver – Girls 14 and under, Bronze – Boys 14 and under. Gold – Girls 15 and over. Boys narrowly missed out on a medal – truly valiant efforts all round Team Zambia. So proud of you all!” the Zambia Swimming Union posted on its facebook page.
