THE Anti-Corruption Commission have arrested and charged Mwamba Kambwili with two counts of possession of money suspected to be proceeds of crime.
Mwamba, son of Roan PF member of parliament Chishimba Kambwili, was questioned for over three hours at Woodlands Police Station before he was arrested and charged for making two deposits of K180,000 and K480, 000 into his father’s bank account.
His lawyer, Christopher Mundia Jr, confirmed Mwamba’s arrest.
“He has been arrested and charged with two counts of being in possession of money suspected to be proceeds of crime, K180,000, and K480,000 which they say he deposited in his father’s account,” said Mundia.
Mwamba is one of the directors at his father’s company, Mwamona Engineering, in Luanshya.
The ACC recently arrested Kambwili and charged him with possession of money reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.
