ZAM gets new leaders

THE Zambia Association of Musicians has elected producer Tivo Shikapwasha as president of its new national executive committee.

The elections were held at Skyview Lodge (formerly Barn Motel) in Lusaka during the association’s annual general meeting on Friday.

Also elected were Daputsa Zulu (aka Sista D) as vice-president, Gloria Kabonga-Siyazana (general secretary), and Davison Musamba (aka DJ Massaj) as deputy general secretary.

Others are Yahya Kaba (aka KB K-Amy) as treasurer, Brian “B’Flow” Bwembya (publicity secretary), Greg Masautso Gondwe (aka Classic) as projects secretary and Mwiza Zulu (research and documentation secretary/assets).

The new committee has a two-year term and takes over from the ZAM body led by Njoya Tembo.

A respected producer and former deejay, Shikapwasha is married to singer Salma Dodia.
