Kamanga urges U20 to keep working hard

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has urged the U20 team to keep working hard and ensure that the African champions earn the right to defend their crown. Kamanga says FAZ will do everything possible to ensure that the team prepares adequately for the next round where they will meet either Sudan or Burundi in July in the final round.

“On behalf of the Executive Committee FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has congratulated the U20 Men’s Football National Team for qualifying to the third and final round of the Niger 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Rwanda 3-1 on aggregate,” he said.

He said he was mindful of the weight of expectations on the team’s shoulders given the template set by the class of 2017 that lifted the trophy and reached a quarterfinal FIFA World Cup milestone. Kamanga has also thanked the hundreds of fans that turned up at Nkoloma Stadium to support the team to glory.

He has wished the team well in their quest for glory.
