Loss to KYSA frustrates Beston

NKANA coach Beston Chambeshi was left frustrated after his team gave away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with lowly placed Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy on Sunday. Nkana’s loss left them into sixth position. The defeat means that Nkana became the first ‘big’ team to drop points against the newly promoted side that has no sponsorship which left a lot of Nkana supporters questioning their title credentials despite their star-studded squad.

Chambeshi who also doubles as Chipolopolo stand-in coach gave a rare tetchy interview laced with emotions in which he mocked the opponent’s Division One tactics and further branded the referee ‘weak’ to handle the match.

“…otherwise we played the game in the first half. You can tell that we are playing a Division One team. They had to use their tricks; even the referee was weak to handle the game. It’s a draw we have accepted but the handling of the game also,” he said.

Nkana tomorrow hosts Zanaco in another difficult game which Chambeshi says his team is going to win.

“Next game? You don’t have the fixture?…we are going to win,” said Chambeshi.
