THE Zambia women national team leader Brenda Kunda says the team is working hard to record a positive result today at Rufaro Stadium.
The team received a morale booster with Zambian High Commissioner Emmanuel Chenda visiting the team to encourage them ahead of today’s 2018 African Women’s Championship qualifier in Harare.
Chenda watched the team training at Old Hararian Sports Club on Friday afternoon.
The team flew into Harare on Thursday and is lodged at Holiday Inn.
Zambia is trailing Zimbabwe 1-0 from the first leg with today’s match offering an opportunity to reverse the fixture and grab a ticket to the Africa Women’s Championship.
According to fazfootball.com, team medics are keeping an eye on star striker Barbara Banda who sustained an ankle injury in the first leg.
Winner over two legs qualifies to the tournament in Ghana in November.
