BUILDCON midfielder Chisamba Lungu has been acquitted by the Kitwe Magistrates’ Court after he was found with no case to answer.
Chisamba stood charged with a case of threatening violence after producing a gun at a named nightclub in Kitwe.
When the matter came for ruling yesterday, Magistrate Kampinda Chipamu said it was not in dispute that a gun was produced but that there was no evidence indicating that the accused threatened to shoot Derrick Chama.
Particulars are that Chisamba on March 23, 2018 with intent to cause harm, threatened Chama with the view to cause injury after he apparently said “I am shooting you with this gun.”
Chisamba, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he first appeared in court in April.
