Talented players in schools remain unnoticed – Mweenda

SIAVONGA district sports chairman Ellis Mweenda says sports activities in schools can produce great players for the nation.

Mweenda, however, said some young talented players in schools had remained unnoticed because they lacked exposure and sponsorships.

“This has kept talented pupils at the same level,” Mweenda, who is also Siavonga Secondary School sports master, said. He noted that a lot of pupils sat on their talent because they lacked motivation and support.

” If pupils can be fully involved in the school sports activities, they can have a chance to be noticed. I’m urging pupils to get involved in different sports activities because this has a potential to give them a career,” said Mweemba.
