LUSAKA is not like the rural areas where they manage to bribe people, says NDC mayoral candidate for Lusaka Saboi Imboela.
Imboela, who spoke shortly after being announced as the candidate for the NDC during a media briefing at the party secretariat in Lusaka, expressed confidence of scooping the seat saying “Lusaka is winnable”.
Imboela said the residents of Lusaka had suffered enough and she was sure they would make the right decision on voting day.
“The signal is here, Lusaka is winnable; come rain come sunshine, NDC is winning Lusaka. The signal is already there, people have suffered enough. The people are many in Lusaka and Lusaka is not like the rural areas where they manage to bribe people. In Lusaka, people know the facts and they know what’s going on so the signal is here for Lusaka,” said Imboela.
And NDC secretary general Mwenya Musenge said the ruling PF had failed to rule and needed to be replaced by his party.
“We need to bring sanity and good governance to this country and we need to begin with Lusaka by voting for NDC. The PF have evidently failed just by looking at the economic and social status of many Zambians. Give us an opportunity as NDC. I’m convinced that the Lusaka mayoral by-election under whatsoever, we are scooping the seat,” said Musenge.
The ruling PF has adopted Miles Sampa while the UPND are fielding pastor Kangwa Chileshe aka Jason Kabanana.
