MURDER-CONVICT Tshabu Benos has appealed to the Court of Appeal against the death sentence slapped on her for stabbing to death her lover Reeves Malambo in January last year.
Lusaka High Court judge Gertrude Chawatama convicted Benos for killing Malambo who was Auto Force proprietor and handed her a death sentence.
Judge Chawatama convicted Benos after she dismissed all the defences she put up of self-defence, intoxication and provocation.
But Benos has filed three grounds, arguing that the judge erred in law and fact when she convicted her without due regard to the evidence of the other witnesses who were present at her house.
Benos also submitted that the court was wrong when it pronounced the death sentence without considering the extenuating circumstances as clearly shown from her three failed defences.
Benos has further argued that judge Chawatama erred in law when she failed to consider her evidence, which was reasonably possible.
