Sven to narrow local call-ups

CHIPOLOPOLO coach Sven Vandenbroek is expected to narrow down his call-ups to players that may have impressed him during the local camps’ selection process. The Chipolopolo boys got down to business in Lusaka with Vandenbroek taking the players through their paces at the Futsal Arena.

According tofazfootball.com, Vandenbroek is conducting his third camp for local players after having hit the ground running on his new job. The Belgian has been having a look at local players during league matches and also revealed that he’s keeping tabs on all Zambian players spread across the globe.

Vandenbroek led the players through the paces with the notable absence of Zesco United’s Simon Silwimba who is injured and Nkana midfielder Jacob Ngulube.

Goalkeeper trainer Stephen Mwansa took the goalkeepers through an independent session.

Zambia face Namibia in an Africa Cup of Nations Group K qualifier in Windhoek on September 7.
