THE University of Zambia Lecturers and Researchers Union members have unanimously agreed to go on a go-slow.
At a special general meeting, the membership unanimously agreed “to go-slow with immediate effect” until their demands were met.
UNZALARU general secretary Kelvin Mambwe stated yesterday that the union was demanding that the delayed 2018 negotiations for improved salaries and other conditions of service begin this week.
Mambwe stated that the union was also demanding that the academic promotions for the year 2018 uses the original template as approved by the council for all academic promotions.
The union is further demanding the liquidation of debt as agreed with other stakeholders begins.
Mambwe stated that UNZALARU takes great exception with the casual attitude demonstrated by management in handling the above issues.
