CHIPOLOPOLO’S opponents in WWednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) 2019 qualifier Guinea Bissau are scheduled to arrive in Lusaka today.
Zambia will be taking on Guinea Bissau at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka in a must win group K qualification round for the 2019 Cameroon Africa Cup of Nations.
Zambia has more to lose if the game goes against the copper bullets who recently only picked a point against Namibia while Guinea bagged three from Namibia and a draw against Mozambique.
Zambia is currently second from bottom in the group with one point, same with Namibia, while Mozambique tops the list with four points followed by Guinea Bissau also on four points.
This will be the first time the Chipolopolo boys are playing at home since the engagement of current coach Sven Vandenbroeck earlier this year.
Sven has called into camp a mixture of experienced and new legs as he seeks to rekindle Zambia’s hopes of reaching Cameroon.
The return match will be played this Saturday, October 13, in Guinea Bissau.
