Fire guts the Chipata Legal Aid Board

FIRE has swept through the Legal Aid Board office destroying various property worth colossal amounts of money.

The source of the fire, which is believed to have started around 02:00 hours on Sunday, has not yet been established.

Police officers who have since instituted investigations were found filming the gutted building.

Officers from Chipata City Council led by their director of engineering Andrew Zulu and fire officers were also at the scene.

By press time, police officers took a security guard from Amaguard to record a statement from him.

Officers from Legal Aid who were in a sombre mood were also seen at the gutted office.
