ZMD forecasts cloudy conditions, showery activities in 6 provinces

THE Zambia Meteorological Department says North Western, Copperbelt, Luapula, Northern, Muchinga and Eastern Provinces are expected to be partly cloudy and warm in the morning, becoming cloudy and hot in theafternoon with showers in few places between October 13 to the 15th.

In its seven-day weather forecast October 13 to 19th, the ZMD stated that generally from October 13 to 15 warm airflow from the east would be controlling the weather over the southern half of the country resulting into an increase in day time temperatures while the northern half will be under the influence of moist and unstable winds from the northwest resulting into expected showery activities.

“Detailed forecast from 13th to 15th October, North-Western, Copperbelt, Luapula, Northern, Muchinga and Eastern Provinces [will be] partly cloudy and warm in the morning, becoming cloudy and hot in the afternoon with showers in few places,” it stated. “The rest of Zambia [will be] mainly sunny, hazy, slightly windy and warm in the morning, becoming partly cloudy and hot by afternoon. The nights will be partly cloudy and warm to mild.”

 

The ZMD stated that from October 16 to 19 all areas were expected to be partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy and hot in the afternoon with showers in very few places.

The ZMD stated that from October 16 to 19 Zambia would be under the influence of moist and unstable airflows from north-east and north-west leading to increased cloudy conditions and showery activities in some areas.
