LUSAKA mayor Miles Sampa says the local authority welcomes business initiatives that improve the welfare of citizens.
Speaking in Lusaka week at Orca Deco’s fifth anniversary celebrations where it was announced that the furniture and home accessory store would spend K500,000 in the next five months to support charities, Sampa, in a speech read by his representative Lackson Sakala, said the council supported businesses that were working towards the improvement of the communities.
He further congratulated Orca Deco for its commitment during the five years of its existence in Zambia.
“…I pledge my unwavering support to this enterprise and wish them all the best in their endeavor to serve the residents of this city. I look forward to a wonderful partnership with their management to make Lusaka city an even better place to live and work for all its residents,” said Sampa.
And Orca Deco managing partner Rayan Sharara said the furniture store, which
originated in Senegal, prides itself in offering products at “competitive prices for everyone in AfricaWith a fast-growing base in Zambia”.
“Plans are currently underway for a 4,000 square meter showroom in Kitwe, making it the first Orca Deco store on the Copperbelt. The management of Orca Deco are committed to improving the lives and lifestyles of the Zambian community by providing affordable products for homes and offices,” said Sahara. “Orca Deco Zambia has partnered with selected banks to enable salaried workers and companies in Zambia to purchase consumer items and pay over a period of 3-12 months with no interest or additional charges…and products amounting to the value of K500,000 will be donated to a selection of five charities over the next five months to honour the fifth year of Orca Deco in Zambia.”
