NKANA coach Beston Chambeshi says he is happy that he is travelling to Tanzania for a crucial CAF Champions League return leg against Simba with an injury-free squad.
Nkana are carrying a 2-1 lead going into the encounter and must avoid defeat to progress to the group stage of CAF’s premier club competition. Chambeshi has made just one change to the squad that beat Simba last Saturday.
Speaking before departure for Tanzania at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport yesterday, Chambeshi said his players understood the task at hand.
“It will be a very important game. I am happy we have gone early so that we can acclimatise, we don’t know the weather. But the boys know what’s at stake. Yes, we are leading but that was a first half, we will be playing the second half. All I can say is that the team is injury free. My message to the fans is that we know what we want from this assignment,” said Chambeshi.
The team includes, goalkeepers: Allan Chibwe, Kelvin Malunga.
Defenders: Ben Banh, Richard Okran, Musa Mayeko, Hassan Yamis, Gift Zulu, Given Sinyangwe, Laison Thole.
Midfielders: Shadreck Malambo, Duncan Otieno, Jacob Ngulube, Kelvin Kampamba, Harrison Chisala, Yannick Mulenda, Shadreck Musonda, Chisamba Lungu.
Strikers: Fred Tshimenga, Walter Bwalya, Ronald Kampamba and Festus Mbewe.
