Zanaco, Buffaloes stage comeback

ZAMBIA Army sponsored side Green Buffaloes are today hosting bankers, Zanaco in a Week 7 FAZ/MTN provisional league Group A fixture at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
With both teams coming from loses in their week 6 engagements, bragging rights will be at stake as both teams will be avoiding a second consecutive loss in this afternoon’s encounter.
Zanaco despite topping the group suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Kabwe Warriors away from home last weekend in a match they were leading 0-2 until towards the end of the game when Warriors scored three goals to win the game.
Buffaloes have had a tough run and are only a point above the relegation zone having collected five points from one win and two draws plus three losses.
With the aim of salvaging the team from bad performances, the club this week fired coach Charles Bwale and replaced him with Bilton Musonda who was sacked three months ago from Green Buffaloes.
In other Group A fixtures, Lusaka Dynamos face Kitwe United at National Heroes Stadium while Mufulira Wanderers take on Kabwe Warriors at Shinde Stadium.
Battle of the ‘big cats’ will erupt in Kabwe as Prison Leopards host Nakambala Leopards at Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu Stadium.
In Group B of the provisional league, Power Dynamos will be hosting Napsa Stars at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe while Green Eagles will be at home against Circuit City in Choma.
Mazabuka’s FC MUZA will equally be in action and in quest of their maiden victory in the Super League as they host Lumwana Radiants at Nakambala Stadium.
Other games which were supposed to played between Nkwazi and Nkana and also between Red Arrows and Zesco have been postponed because Zesco and Nkana will face off tomorrow in the CAF Confederation Cup.
