A premature end of the PF govt is on its way – Chipimo

NATIONAL Restoration Party president Elias Chipimo says a premature end of the PF government is on its way.

Chipimo, who featured on Hot FM radio’s Frank on Hot programme yesterday, hoped the PF government could become wise before its impulsive downfall.

“There is an expression that a wise man learns from someone else’s mistakes. [But] a fool learns from his own! The PF have a chance to be wise; whether they will take up that opportunity and exercise wisdom, humility, patience, leadership, I don’t know – I don’t have too much faith that they will do that,” Chipimo noted.

“I really do worry about what is coming before we even get to 2021. I want to see this government out in the right way; I don’t want them to have a premature end. [But] I’m very worried, based on what they are doing, that premature end is on its way.”

And on the national dialogue debate, Chipimo, who is a lawyer, said: “dialogue must be voluntary! Dialogue is not [about] holding a gun to my head and saying ‘you have to talk.’ Dialogue means that if you want to remain quiet, I have to respect that.”

    Dear Editor,

I am so perplexed that our President does not know what is obtaining on the ground. He is surrounded by people who do not know how to assist him. How on earth can they think that concentrating on construction of roads and other building infrastructure with borrowed money is developing the country?.
My question is, is this improving our economy?. has this improved our unemployment rate?. Has this given our people more money in their pockets?
From the look of things its like our people have been made more poorer than the MMD left them. a bag of mealie meal is now going at K110.00 per 25Kg. What a shame. Don’t forget that Kaunda knows what it means when the price of our staple food goes up. he was taught a lesson and for sure PF will be taught a lesson also not long time to come.
