NAPSA Stars coach Mohammed Fathi says he has issues with his defence because they allow late goals. Fathi says he will use the remaining five games to get his team into the top two bracket. Speaking when his team drew 2-2 with Buildcon FC at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka, Fathi said the team’s defence needed to be worked on.
“We played very well and unluckily we conceded a goal in the last two minutes against the same team and again also in the first game, it was one zero, the last two minutes we conceded a goal. It is just lapses in our defence. We have to work on our defence, it cost us the draw. But we are looking forward to the next game, we still have 5 games to go and we are very positive we can catch second position in this group,” said Fathi.
And Buildcon coach Srdjan Zivojnov praised his boys for the fighting spirit exhibited in the game.
“I want to congratulate my players because they fought for 95 minutes, we played and it is well, Napsa is a good team but I’m very disappointed by the referees decisions but it is okay, this is football and we have 5 more games to go and we still have the chance to fight and be first,” Zivojnov said.
“My team played very well but I have problems with some decisions made by the referee here but that is football and it is our problem of not scoring more goals.”
Zivojnov said he was looking at winning all the remaining games to go top of the group.
“We are playing Nkwazi in the next game at home and we must collect maximum points, that is our target. If you must be the first, you must win, I don’t care about other results,” said Zivojnov.
Buildcon Stands on second slot with 24 points behind Green Eagles who have 27 points and Napsa is on 6th post with 18 points.
