EMMANUEL Banda says President Edgar Lungu is surrounded by sell-outs who are a danger to his political career.
Banda, who is aspiring for Eastern Province PF youth chairmanship, said many people were close to President Lungu for their personal benefits.
He said some ministers and members of parliament were not performing because they wished President Lungu to fail.
“It is now clear that people surrounding the President are sell-outs and a danger to his political life. This can be seen from the recent NDF meeting in which they voted that ministers should be working even after Parliament is dissolved,” Banda said.
He said what was going to happening to President Lungu was similar to what had happened in Malawi where a Vice-President left the ruling party and formed an opposition party that abused government machinery to decampaign the incumbent.
“This is what these MPs and ministers have planned here in Zambia,” he said.
Banda said fake people had invaded the ruling party and that it was high time that President Lungu used his power to correct the mistakes.
“They will join the opposition before elections and start decampaigning President Lungu. Time has come when the President should act so that we have order in the party,” said Banda.
