PATRIOTIC Front governance under President Edgar Lungu is the worst experience for Zambia, says NDC vice president Josephs Akafumba. In an interview, Akafumba, a veteran lawyer, said Zambians should wake up and send the PF into the opposition.
“We are currently going through hash conditions in all sectors, especially economically. In short, the PF government under President Edgar Lungu is the worst experience to face Zambia since 1964, and the worst is still to befall Zambians,” Akafumba said.
He warned Zambians not to vote for the PF in 2021 as doing so would spell doom for the country.
“I can assure you that if Zambians make the mistake of voting for the PF in 2021, the chaps will immediately embark on a crusade to loot the country bare,” Akafumba said.
He urged NDC members countrywide to embark on massive party mobilisation as soon as possible.
Akafumba said the NDC should not relax after having gotten its first parliamentary seat in Luanshya.
“My appeal is to all NDC members not to relax. There is no time for honeymoon. We need to hit the ground hard and running, we have to destroy the PF at grassroots levels, in all wards in all districts,” he said.
Akafumba further appealed to Zambians to join the NDC adding that the party, under Chishimba Kambwili, would steer the country back on the right track.
“We had PF, under Michael Sata, determined to save the people, determined to lead the country out of poverty. Sata, may his soul rest in peace, was a true leader, a true pro-poor advocate and not Edgar Lungu. The PF leadership is now only bent on protecting their corrupt deeds,” said Akafumba.
