GREEN Eagles coach Aggrey Chiyangi has described this afternoon’s game against Kenyan giants Gor Mahia as interesting.
Eagles are in Kigali participating in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, East Africa’s Premier Club competition, where they have reached the quarter finals.
Speaking ahead of the match, Chiyangi said Gor Mahia’s experience would help his team prepare for their engangement in the CAF Champions League.
“It’s a very interesting game. We know that we are playing Gor Mahia, and Gor Mahia have been playing in the continental games for a long time, meaning that they have got some experience,” he said.
“The only goodness is that the purpose of us coming here was to play amongst the best teams in the tournament and Gor Maiha is one of the teams. So it will help us to prepare very well for the coming championships for CAF.”
Chiynagi said he was happy with the team’s performance thus far and is optimistic his players can do even better in the remaining games.
“I feel happy for now but I know that we can do better than we have because I have seen the team maturing. I believe that if we do our best again we can go past this stage. The mood is good, the morale is very high, and everyone is looking for a good game,” said Chiyangi.
