STANBIC Bank Zambia chief executive officer Leina Gabaranne has challenged Napsa Stars FC to aim for the league title as the new season begins later this month.
And the club’s main sponsor, National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) director general Yollard Kachinda has asked the club to make Napsa a permanent feature in the continental football challenge starting next season.
During the unveiling of a new kit and Stanbic Bank as the partner sponsor for Napsa Stars, Gabaranne said the club had what it takes to win the league title.
“We don’t want (Napsa Stars) to be in the top four, we want to be number one and our belief is that Napsa has the potential to be number one and that is why we are betting our money on them,” said Gabaranne.
And Kachinda said he had belief in the players and their abilities to make it to the top.
“I have been challenging the players and team to make us happy. I am still waiting (to be made happy). There should be some tangible results to embrace this support you have received today. Put in your best and score more goals. We challenge you to go to the top slot, there is no reason not to. Make this happen. We want to see Napsa become a permanent feature in the CAF Champions League,” said Kachinda.
Stanbic has put in US$70,000 into sponsorship of Napsa Stars for the period expiring on December 31, 2019.
