THE South African Football Association have secured a friendly with the Chipolopolo.
With the FIFA international break coming up on the first week of September, SAFA has made a late confirmation that will see Bafana Bafana take on Zambia in Lusaka.
With Stuart Baxter’s successor yet to be named, interim coach Molefe Ntseki is due to take charge of the dressing room and bench.
“Bafana Bafana will play Chipolopolo of Zambia in Lusaka on Saturday, 7 September 2019 in a friendly international match. That match kicks off at 15:00 hours,” SAFA confirmed on their website.
Bafana are expected to face very familiar players who play for some of South Africa’s most-followed clubs Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Some of Zambian players set to face Bafana Bafana include Pirates trio Justine Shonga, Augustine Mulenga and Austin Muwowo, and Lazarous Kambole of Kaiser Chiefs.
Bafana Bafana last met Chipolopolo in March 2018 where the former won 2-0 through goals by Percy Tau and Lebohang Mothiba.
