NKANA captain Musa Mohammed is out of Sunday’s MTN/FAZ Super League week three match against rivals Mufulira Wanderers due to family engagements back home in Kenya.
The hard tackling ‘Harambe Stars’ defender left the country immediately after Nkana’s 1-0 victory over Buildcon last Saturday to attend the birth of his child.
“Musa will not be with us for this game because he had to attend to his wife who was hospitalised. We are in touch with him, he will be with us soon. We will miss him but we have replacements and I am happy that all the players who were injured are back,” coach Beston Chambeshi told the club website nkanafc.org.
And team manager Daniel Jere confirmed that Mohammed’s wife delivered via Ceaserian section and the player needed to nurse his wife for a few days.
Mohammed’s absence will give chance to Ugandan Shafik Bakaki to play his maiden competitive match.
