AFTER scoring a brace in the 5-1 win over Cano Sport Academy at National Heroes Stadium on Sunday, Zanaco captain Ziyo Tembo is confident of returning to the national team.
Speaking to journalists, Tembo said with more work, he will definitely be back in the national team.
“Definitely I just need to continue working extra hard, to put up extra work each and every day that comes,” he said.
Asked about the team’s progress in the group stage, the skipper said they will take each game as it comes.
“[I am] happy with how we played today and want to congratulate the guys (team). I think going forward we will be taking each game [as] it comes and once the draws are done, will do the same,” said Tembo.
“We are not going to limit ourselves. I think we just have to aim high, not limit ourselves. We have a good squad which is capable of doing it.”
And striker Rodgers Kola, who also scored a brace, said it is always good to score for the team.
“It is always nice to score goals. As you know in the competition there is no easy game. But we need to plan for the group stage. This competition is not easy. At least we have won four games so far and the morale is high in camp,” said Kola.
Zanaco’s win on Sunday in front of an empty stadium in the group stage brought the goal aggregate to 8-2.
