DEC summon Amos

THE Drugs Enforcement Commission has summond for presidential spokesperson Amos Chanda to appear before it today without fail.

Drug Enforcement Commission public relations officer Theresa Katongo confirmed that Chanda had been summoned by the commission.

Katongo, however, could not give details on why Chanda was summoned.

“We shall issue a statement at an appropriate time on why he has been summoned,” she said.

According to sources, the summoning was over an ongoing investigation.
Chanda resigned last June.

Daily Revelations’ Agness Changala Katongo quoted a callout addressed to Chanda of Serval Road in Kabulonga, in which the DEC him to appear at its offices without fail.

“Notice to appear before a DEC anti-money laundering officer: Take Note that you are required to Report to the DEC/AMLIU office situated at the Old Ministry of Justice Building in Ridgeway area on Wednesday 13th November 2019 at 09:00 hours without fail,” reads the letter in part.
