Young Chipolopolo lie in wait for Comoros

[By Bright Tembo]
THE young Chipolopolo Boys will today be hoping to add more salt to Comoros’ wounds when the two teams clash in their second COSAFA Cup Group A at Nkoloma Stadium.

The Comoros, who lost 4-nil to Malawi in their opening group match on Wednesday, will be facing hosts Zambia who are buoyed by their resounding 5-0 win over Botswana.

A win for Oswald Mutapa’s players will see Zambia through to the knockout stages with a game to spare against Malawi.

Conversely, a loss for Comoros will see them say goodbye to the tournament after failing to pick points in the first two games of the tournament.

The junior Chipolopolo will be banking on the services of Jimmy Mukeya who scored a brace in Wednesday’s opening match.

The team equally has in-form striker Francisco Mwepu who was also on target against Botswana.

In the other group match, Malawi take on a wounded Botswana side who would want to fancy their chances of going into the knockout stage.

The other match of the day will see Angola and Mozambique square off in the second Group C match.
