THE Constitution (Amendment) Bill No. 10 of 2019 is not a miracle for the suffering Zambian but an enemy of prosperity, says Bishop Andrew Mununga.
He said God’s love for Hakainde Hichilema is unstoppable.
The pastor of Rock of Glory Church in Mtendere said Bill No.10 should not see the light of day as it is a tool of destruction over Zambia.
Parliament last week resolved to defer the enactment of the controversial Bill to February next year.
Acting justice minister Stephen Kampyongo told the House that there wasn’t sufficient time to debate the Bill.
The home affairs minister said the Executive is aware that in the current sitting, Parliament had limited time to pass the 2020 national budget.
He said Parliament also has a number of heads to consider when debating the budget bill and also had to pass the money Act to support the implementation of the budget.
Kampyongo said deferring the Bill to next year was not a sign that the Executive is scared of losing the vote but that it was confident that the Bill would pass.
However, Bishop Mununga said 2019 had been a bad year for most poor Zambians whose businesses have been badly hit as a result of load-shedding.
“Bill No.10 is not a miracle for the suffering Zambian but an enemy of prosperity to the future of Zambia. It is a tool of destruction over this nation,” he said.
Bishop Mununga said God’s love for opposition UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema was unstoppable.
“UPND has progressive biblical mentality, and homosexuality is not one of them. God’s love for HH is unstoppable. Watch this space. I bless Zambia with peace and prosperity,” said Bishop Mununga.
