PF GOVERNMENT has released K350,000 towards rehabilitation of deplorable bridges in Kapoche Constituency.
In a press statement, Kapoche member of parliament Dr Charles Banda said his people had been facing some challenges in terms of crossing rivers.
“I am delighted to inform you that the PF government has allocated and released K350,000 to Sinda district council to go towards the rehabilitation of four bridges in Kapoche Constituency,” he stated.
“The money will be apportioned as follows: K100, 000 to repair Chingombe bridge in Chingombe ward, K100,000 will go towards the rehabilitation of Matambazi bridge in Matambazi ward, K100,000 will go towards the reconstruction of Chamakubi crossing point in Chamakubi ward, while K50,000 will go towards the completion of Kapungwe bridge in Kapungwe ward,” Dr Banda explained.
Dr Banda thanked President Edgar Lungu for responding to the cry of Kapoche residents who had have bad crossing points for a long time.
“The bridges will ease the movement of people between places and I will personally supervise the works as I have already started engaging the council secretary (Robby Chitambo),” Dr Banda said.
He said the works once completed would help to resolve some of the challenges that people were facing in the area.
Dr Banda called on the council to expedite works immediately to avoid further damages due to the rains which had already started.
He reminded people not to lose heart as the PF government was trying all it could to fulfill all its promises before 2021 general elections.
