THE Football Association of Zambia has summoned Zesco United and Lusaka Dynamos football clubs over the transfer saga of striker Chris Mugalu.
On Thursday, Zesco United media officer Desmond Katongo announced the signing of Mugalu as one as their player on a two-year contract at the Ndola outfit.
However, Lusaka Dynamos went on to release a statement stating that Mugalu is still Lusaka Dynamos player and is looking forward to his return after injury.
But FAZ through its general secretary Adrian Kashala says the association has summoned both parties to see how the issue can be resolved.
“We have called the two for a meeting not a displinary meeting, as it is reported in some parts of the Media, we have called them to establish facts then we cart the way forward,”he said
He has further advised players and clubs to use the right channels in transfer matters.
“The transfer window is open and administrators let us explain to these players the dos and don’ts in the transfer window, so that they don’t find themselves in such kind of trap and we have a duty as administrator to tell players what to do and at what particular time and there really is nothing to hide, so that we avoid such things of clubs fighting for a player.”
